Your Crawlspace

Since they are rarely inspected or entered, you may have a alot of bugs, mold, built up water, or bad insulation, causing you to spend more on heating and cooling. Crawlspaces can be very dangerous because of asbestos, chemicals, collapse, hantavirus, mold, rodents, sewage, snakes, and even electrical shock hazards. Your crawlspace could also be hiding a lot of structural rot too. That would cause you to spend money on making the crawlspace safer.

Your Attic

009_6AThe attic is similar to the basement. You must keep it well ventilated because of mildew or mold build up that you may not notice until later on. You need to routinely check the attic’s foundation because if there is mold, mildew, or bugs you could end up paying extra to fix that. If you dont notice it, your attic may collapse causing the whole house to go down which can be extremely dangerous. You may also need to  find out how much you can put in the attic before you cant get to come corners. You must always make sure you can inspect every corner when needed. It can also be a fire hazard if it’s not well ventilated in the summer. Especially if it is extremely dry.
